Dobbies’ Tewkesbury store to host first festive shopping night in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust

New Flagship Garden Centre hosting charity night as part of its 2022 Christmas events programme

The most magical time of the year is almost here, and Dobbies is welcoming the start of the festive season at its new flagship store in Tewkesbury with its first charity shopping night. The event is in aid of National Charity Partner, Teenage Cancer Trust, and takes place on Thursday 24 November, 5-9pm, with £1 tickets on sale now.

The Christmas Shopping Night at the brand-new store, which opens to the public in early November, is a perfect opportunity for families across Gloucestershire to get into the Christmas spirit and explore great-value festive gifts, decorations and products.

There will be a welcome drink on arrival, plus the chance to enjoy the exclusive shopping offers available on the night. With the Christmas themes for 2022 displayed throughout the flagship store, there will be decorating inspiration for all, no matter your style or budget.

Dobbies’ popular Santa’s Grotto will launch in Tewkesbury for a special preview on the night. There will also be tables available to book in the brand-new 10,000 sq ft restaurant, offering a taste of the Christmas menu. There will be two courses for £14.95, with the option of traditional roast turkey dinner or vegetarian Christmas dinner with Quorn sausages, followed by Christmas pudding or mince pie cheesecake.

The new Dobbies at Cotswold Designer Outlet, the largest in South West England, is set to be the go-to destination for a magical Christmas experience this festive season. Its proximity to the M5 motorway and Ashchurch for Tewkesbury railway station will make it the most accessible outlet shopping destination in the region.

Sarah Murray, Partnership and Events Manager at Dobbies said: “We’re so excited to be celebrating Christmas for the first time at our brand-new flagship store in Tewkesbury and the team is looking forward to kicking off the festivities with our Christmas Shopping Night.

“So far, we have raised over £1.2m for Teenage Cancer Trust across all our stores and we’re looking forward to adding to this total over the festive season. This shopping night is a great opportunity for customers in Gloucestershire to enjoy a festive night out with exclusive offers, while also contributing to raising funds for an incredibly worthwhile cause.”

Tickets are priced at £1, available at dobbies.com and in-store, and all proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising on the night will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust. It is also possible to opt in to make a donation to the charity when booking other festive events online.

Donna Bednarek, Senior Relationships Manager for Teenage Cancer Trust, said: “We are looking forward to visiting the brand-new Dobbies’ Tewkesbury store, for their first ever Christmas Shopping Night, and getting the chance to meet customers from across Gloucestershire. It’s companies like Dobbies, and their incredible team members and customers taking part in events like this, that allow us to ensure no young person faces cancer alone.”

Attendees are invited to take a photo in-store for the chance to win a prize. Customers can share their photos on social media by using #DobbiesChristmasNight and tagging @dobbiesgardencentres to be entered automatically.

The Christmas Shopping Night is also taking place in Dobbies Cirencester and Gloucester stores.
