Essential Learning Experiences (ELEs) are planned into every theme we teach. Sometimes these kickstart the learning with an exciting launch; sometimes they come midway through the learning such as children interviewing an expert and sometimes they are a celebration of learning at the end of the theme. Each age group has designated. age-appropriate Learning Traits which you can see under the images at the top of this page. Each trait has related skills - ‘soft skills’, as opposed to subject specific skills, which are progressive across the school: Explorers > Pathfinders > Adventurers > Navigators. Whilst subject-specific knowledge and skills are vital, these transferable skills play a huge part in preparing our children for life in modern Britain. Click the characters below to see the skills our children learn in each phase.
