Year 6 Homework Project (1)
Class: Year 6 - Navigators Year: 2017 - 2018
In their last few weeks at primary school, Y6 have been given a homework project which has lots of challenges for them to complete and record in a scrapbook.
The challenges are:
- Learn to count to 10 in a new language.
- Volunteer to do a job for a grown up, either at home or in school.
- Sketch/paint something you use every day.
- Take part in at least 30 minutes of physical exercise.
- Call a family member you haven’t spoken to for a while.
- Read a non-fiction book about a subject you are interested in.
- Say ‘yes’ to a new opportunity that comes your way.
- Draw your favourite place.
- Write a letter to a friend.
- Learn the rules of a sport you haven’t played before.
- Share something you have recently learnt with someone else.
- Walk outside. Close your eyes and listen. Either draw or describe 5 things you can hear.
- Go for a swim/walk/cycle with your family.
- Leave a note for somebody saying thank you and what you are grateful for.
- Record a song.
- Learn some basic first aid skills.
- Go to a live sporting event.
- Go to a music concert.
- Get involved in a play.
- Visiting a working company / business.
- Work with / visit / help an OAP.
- Write to the Prime Minister.
- The £2 challenge – shop and make a meal for your family for £2
- Have a water fight.
- Enter a competition run outside of school.
- Have a go at playing an instrument you have never played before.
- Use sewing skills to make something.
